For those of you that don't know us, we are Peter and Allison Barr.

We are both 37 and thrilled to be able to set off on this grand adventure together! We have been married for 12 years, but we've been together since 2001. We are in it for the long haul :-)

Peter graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and found his passion working in land conservation and trail design after a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2010. He has worked for Conserving Carolina since 2010 and continues to work part time, remotely, for their trails program. He also designs trail, and offers sustainable trail consulting on a contract basis.

I graduated from UNC Charlotte. Then taught elementary school for the past 15 years, in Charlotte and Mills River. During my teaching career I earned a Masters in Reading Education from UNC Charlotte as well as National Board Certification. I currently manage our Airbnb listings from the road.

We are working together to live life with intentionality, build healthy relationships, and have amazing adventures! We value being able to hike, climb, bike, sightsee, travel and experience as much as we can. We try to worry more about how we budget our money rather than how much income we make. We have found the best things in life are not things at all, but experiences we have together.

We place a high value on mental and physical health,

which helps us survive living together in a 26 foot long box on wheels!
